Care workforce management

Every shift covered.
Every carer paid right.

CareApp checks every assignment against leave, rest hours, expired DBS checks and what the client has asked for — before the shift reaches anyone's phone.

This is the week the engine just checked.

One night shift nobody has picked up, and one carer the rota will not let you send. Both visible before the week is published, not after.

Eight checks run before a shift is saved

Four of them stop the assignment outright. Four warn, and a scheduler can override them — which is recorded, with their name on it.

  • BlockedAlready bookedDaniel is on 14:00–22:00 that day. The second shift overlaps by two hours.
  • BlockedDBS check expiredExpired 4 October. A carer cannot be sent to a visit without one in date.
  • BlockedApproved leavePriya is signed off 2–6 November.
  • WarningUnder 11 hours restSix hours between this and their Wednesday night. The working time rules expect eleven.
  • WarningClient preferenceMrs Adeyemi asks for a familiar carer. Grace has visited twice.

Nobody works on an expired DBS

Documents are tracked to the day. Reminders go out on a schedule, and once something lapses the carer simply stops being assignable — the rota will not let it through, whoever is building it.

Carers get their shifts in their pocket.

No group chats and no missed calls. Offers, swaps, leave, payslips and policies live in one app, and an answer there updates the rota immediately.

  • Accept or decline a shift offer in one tap.
  • Ask for leave or a swap, and see the answer here.
  • Read payslips and confirm new policies.

Pay that two people have to agree on

Hours come from shifts that actually happened. Releasing the money takes a second person, and approving it freezes the hours behind it for good.

  1. 1Calculated from worked shiftsHours to the quarter, overtime settled per week against the contract.
  2. 2Reviewed by a payroll officerSomeone checks the hours, the overtime and the rounding.
  3. 3Approved by a second personWhoever prepared the run cannot be the one who releases it.
  4. 4Locked, then paidEvery shift in the run freezes. Payments retry without ever paying twice.
